Each year since 1992, the Barnstable Silver Bullets has awarded one player (with exceptions) in Division 1 the William "Red" Dacey Jr. Award. This prestigious award is given by the coaches to a player who best exemplifies the spirit and determination of the Silver Bullets football program.

This year, the Silver Bullets will expand the Red Dacey Award to one recipient in both Division 1 and Division 5. In addition, the Silver Bullets has established two new awards.

The Michael S. Zikas Most Valuable Player Award has been established in honor of one of the founders of the Silver Bullets. Mike Zikas was a starting lineman at Notre Dame and was drafted in 1971 by the New York Giants. Players who are eligible for this award must demonstrate that their skills and accomplishments on the playing field are invaluable to their team's success.

The Frank R. Finn Jr. Memorial Sportsmanship Award will be given to one player in each division who best demonstrates selflessness and team spirit.
